PCYC Summer Programs for Kids are Underway

Children learned about growing vegetables and flowers as part of a learning unit on gardening in PCYC’s Summer Friends program.  The program is providing a variety of enriching summer days for children ages 5 through 11 years with academic, recreational, and social activities.  100 children are enrolled in this summer’s program.

The Capri Theater Arts Program for Children is underway, bringing 46 neighborhood children ages 9 through 13 years together with talented Twin Cities actors and performers, using creative arts as a tool for growth and learning.  The children will present their performance of “Once Upon a Summer Time" at The Capri Theater at 6:00 p.m., on August 17 and 18.  Admission is free.

Positive Cool is a new summer program for youth offering classes in spoken word and music production classes every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:45 to 2:45 p.m., and hip hop dance classes every Friday in the Capri Theatre at 12:45 p.m.  The classes are free and open to all youth ages 13 through 19.  For more information call Karen at 612-522-6501.
